Program Description

Connective tissue is the most abundant system in the body, and new science is revealing it to be the source of most inflammation and pain when it’s dehydrated and not moving freely. The MELT Method® is a scientifically proven method for connective tissue hydration and release.

Join expert yoga teacher Erin Fleming, E-RYT 500, for a weekend of mindful movement and essential stillness featuring the MELT Method and the complementary practices of Yin Yoga and Qigong Yoga Flow. You will:

  • Experience the power of the MELT Method to enhance vitality and ease pain through guided use of specialized soft rollers and treatment balls for hands and feet
  • Learn the essential tenets of Yin Yoga,a profound flexibility practice of holding supported poses for three to five minutes in a calm meditative environment (along with optional aromatherapy)
  • Complement these transformative practices with Erin’s own Qigong Yoga Flow, a balanced modality of movement based on the ancient Chinese exercise and healing system
  • Experience a powerful blend of breath, movement, and mindfulness to enhance your body’s energetic flow.

You’ll take home techniques to reduce inflammation, ease chronic neck pain and low back strain, improve alignment, enhance athletic performance, and keep your whole body feeling great at any age.

    Erin Fleming, E-RYT 500

    Yoga teacher and movement expert

    Erin Fleming has been teaching yoga for over 20 years, having trained extensively with Sarah Powers, Paul Grilley, and Erich Schiffmann. She is the creator of Qigong Yoga Flow, a balanced modality of movement based on the ancient Chinese exercise and healing system.

    Certified by the extensive teacher training program, British Wheel of Yoga, Erin also became a certified instructor of the MELT Method® in 2012. The MELT Method is a specialized connective tissue release protocol that promotes healing and eliminates pain.

    Erin’s specialty is Yin Yoga, a profound practice that emphasizes long-held but passive poses that instill lightness and grace and enhance joint flexibility. Her audio CD, Yin Yoga: The Essential Practice, won rave reviews from Yoga Journal and Alternative Medicine magazine.

    Erin teaches beginning yoga, vigorous Vinyasa Flow classes, and Qigong Yoga Flow for all levels. By infusing her classes with warmth, humor, and a lifetime of yoga and movement experience, Erin taps into the vast richness of yoga in a way that surpasses the simple physical practice of asana.

    Through her yoga company, Yogadeva International, Erin leads teacher trainings, retreats, and workshops nationally and worldwide. When back home in Marin County, California, Erin teaches private sessions, classes, workshops, and trainings for Bay Club Marin and, since 2004, for the employees at Lucas Film.
