Join John Robbins and Katchie Ananda for a unique journey into living with ever deeper compassion and respect for yourself and for others.  You’ll learn how to more fully connect with your passion and purpose.  And you’ll learn how yoga and the right food can interact to elevate your body, mind, spirit and soul.

Katchie will guide you through a yoga practice that will create more coherence between your physical, emotional and spiritual selves.  John will inspire you with the clarity and courage you need to fully realize your unique path to joy, self-confidence and power.

Whether you are a newcomer to yoga or someone who has practiced for decades; and whether you simply want to strengthen your connection to your inner wisdom, or are looking for a whole new sense of life purpose, John and Katchie will help you move into greater alignment with your essential being, and an enlarged capacity to be the person you were meant to be.

    Katchie Ananda, E-RYT 500

    Yoga and dharma teacher

    Katchie Ananda is an internationally recognized yoga and dharma teacher whose leadership in yoga and social change prompted Yoga Journal to name her one of five top yoga teachers making change in the world. Katchie has over 20 years of experience as a full-time yoga teacher and trainer, and is certified in Anusara, Jivamukti, Integral, and Ashtanga vinyasa yoga. A dedicated student of Vipassana meditation, Katchie has studied with Jack Kornfield, her Buddhist mentor, for over 15 years.

    A former dancer in Switzerland and Brazil, she moved to New York City in 1990 where she studied yoga with Sharon Gannon and David Life at Jivamukti Yoga Center. Deeply inspired by their creativity, activism, and commitment to nonviolence, Katchie dedicated herself to Jivamukti Yoga and taught there for many years, eventually as a senior teacher. There, she was introduced to the devotional path of Bhakti Yoga, and began her lifelong practice of chanting.

    Katchie also got involved with Integral Yoga Institute, where she taught, worked, and participated in ashram life under the guidance of Sri Swami Satchidananda. To further her skill as a teacher, she studied the technical refinement of asanas with Kevin Gardiner in the tradition of B.K.S. Iyengar.

    Katchie was the cofounder and director of Yoga Sangha in San Francisco, and offers workshops, trainings, and retreats in Europe and the United States. Her home base is Santa Fe, New Mexico.

    John Robbins

    Social activist, author, Food Revolution Network cofounder

    John Robbins is a social activist and the best-selling author of nine books that have sold more than 3 million copies collectively and been translated into 32 languages. Titles include The Food Revolutionand the classic Diet for a New America. He is president and cofounder, along with his son Ocean, of the 600,000-member Food Revolution Network.

    The only son of the founder of the Baskin-Robbins ice cream company, John Robbins was groomed to follow in his father’s footsteps, but chose to instead “pursue the deeper American Dream…the dream of a society at peace with its conscience because it respects and lives in harmony with all life forms.”

    John is the founder and board chair emeritus of EarthSave International and has served on the boards of many nonprofit organizations. His life and work have also been featured in a PBS special titled Diet for a New America.

    As an advocate for a compassionate and healthy way of life, John is the recipient of many accolades including the Rachel Carson Award, the Albert Schweitzer Humanitarian Award, Peace Abbey’s Courage of Conscience Award, and a lifetime achievement award from Green America.
