Celebrate and explore your mother-daughter relationship through playfulness, yoga, and communication tools that emphasize transparency and vulnerability in this workshop with intimacy expert Theresa Vargo, BA, and her daughter Lizzy Benson.
On a wildly fun and healing journey, you will experience the magic of connection and learn how to have your needs met. You will connect one-on-one with the facilitators and with the group as a whole as you:
- Participate in meditative exercises such as journaling and walks in nature
- Experience how yoga can improve your relationship with your body, mind, and others
- Learn how to open your heart when you’ve been hurt.
You do not need to be related by blood in order to attend this workshop—Womb Mates is open to all mothers and daughters, and the yoga practice is geared to all levels.
You will leave with a new understanding of how to create and maintain deep, intimate connections, not only with your workshop partner, but also in all of the relationships in your life.
Theresa Vargo, BA
Intimacy expert, relationship coach, and photographer
Theresa Vargo is the founder of The Art of Intimacy and a certified life coach and intuitive guide working with women to build healthier relationships in matters of the heart. Theresa is one of the most sought-after relationship coaches and successful advocates for intimacy health in the San Francisco Bay Area and neighboring Marin County.
Theresa has lived most of her life behind the lens of a camera, and has a degree from the Brooks Institute of Photography and Science. As a wedding photographer for over 15 years, her job was to capture stories about love, happiness, and connection—yet all around her she was hearing women’s personal stories about their unhappiness, lack of love, and missed intimacy. This observation was instrumental in her decision to put down her camera to pursue personal growth around issues of intimacy and sexuality.
Theresa has led or participated in over 100 workshops on the topics of relationships, sexuality, tantra, body work, love, shamanic spirituality, and compassionate communication. Her mission is to cocreate healing, happiness, and freedom with her clients.View Bio PageLizzy Benson, BA
Intimacy facilitator and yoga teacher
Lizzy Benson came to yoga in college, after she began to experience emotional stress and physical limitations. What began with an asana practice blossomed into a greater awareness of physical self-care through alignment, strength, and flexibility.
Invigorated by the practice, she discovered meditation and pranayama, which has helped her make conscious decisions to explore her growing passion and curiosity.
Lizzy’s path of personal healing has taken her up and down the west coast and into Central America to study various modalities of the healing arts and yoga.
As a yoga teacher, she is highly influenced by nature and her own experiences of healing. Lizzy invites students and clients to discover their true roots and to connect with their hearts to tap into their authentic truths on and off the mat. She cofacilitates mother-daughter workshops with her mother, intimacy expert Theresa Vargo.View Bio Page
