Transform Your Health
Write to Heal
July 9 - 14, 2017
Sunday - Friday, 5 nights
Plus 5 nights all-inclusive accommodations priced separatelyRegistration Closed
Writing can help us face our most difficult challenges—it can also help transform physical, mental, and spiritual health.
Current research shows that expressive writing has the power to decrease the heart rate, lower blood pressure, enhance breathing, improve self-esteem, help manage stress, and strengthen the immune system so it can better fight off infection.
This 5-day immersion workshop is for everyone with a desire to heal. You don’t need any prior writing experience—or any aspiration to become a writer. John Evans will coach you through a simple progression of exercises developed from his more than 25 years of working in the field as you learn how to:
- Move beyond what you thought you could not get over
- Communicate your desires with compassion, empathy, forgiveness and gratitude
- Express your “rites of passage” with metaphor, story, poetry, and creative nonfiction
- Share your values and the life lessons you have learned from those you love.
These practices cultivate your natural and easy ability to express the ideas that define who you are and how you experience your life. They will guide your toward health and healing, with the benefit of writing forward into your best possible life.
