A Retreat to Build Resilience and Inner Strength
December 29 2017 - January 1 2018
Friday - Monday, -362 nights
Plus -362 nights all-inclusive accommodations priced separatelyRegistration Closed
Living in a nearly constant state of tension negatively affects our mood, sleep cycles, and key functions of the body. Research shows that yoga, meditation, and Ayurvedic practices help prevent and even reverse the harmful effects of chronic stress and overextended lifestyles, and help you step into a life of greater ease and health.
Sudha Carolyn Lundeen, RN, E-RYT 500, brings more than 30 years of experience and a mix of traditional and contemporary healing techniques to her teaching. Through yoga, meditative hikes in the redwoods, and labyrinth walks, you will experience your natural state of being—relaxed, grounded, and present.
During this experiential retreat, you will learn:
- Exercises to rewire the anxious brain, backed by cutting-edge neuroscientific research
- Ayurvedic self-care practices that are foundational to health and well-being
- Breathing practices to bolster your immune system and turn on the relaxation response
- Restorative and active yoga practices that calm the mind and release tension
- Guided visualizations that create balance and peace of mind.
This is the perfect time after the holidays to regroup and prepare for the new year with renewed strength and resilience. You will return home relaxed and rebalanced with personal practices upon which you can build.
Sudha Carolyn Lundeen, RN, E-RYT 500
Yoga teacher and Ayurvedic lifestyle coach
Sudha Carolyn Lundeen is a senior faculty member at Kripalu Center, where she leads a variety of healthy living, yoga, and meditation courses, including 500- and 1000-hour level professional yoga teacher trainings.
She is the meditation and stress management specialist at the UltraWellness Center in Lenox, Massachusetts—a functional medicine practice. She combines ancient and modern healing techniques to work with clients privately, and leads workshops internationally in group and corporate settings.
Her approach is based on the belief that we all hold a place of deep centeredness and authenticity within, a well of ease and well-being best accessed when the body/mind is in a state of balance.
Sudha’s teaching style has been described as welcoming, humorous, and inspiring. Her Kripalu Gentle Yoga DVD has won three prestigious awards, and her Restorative Yoga DVD offers step-by-step instruction in the practice of deep relaxation and stress reduction.View Bio Page
