This workshop will equip mental health professionals with the knowledge, techniques, and practical applications that will enable them to apply research-based concepts and techniques related to positive psychology, and mindfulness with their clients and patients.
During this highly experiential, skill-building weekend, participants will:
- Apply selected positive psychology interventions and mindfulness practices with clients or patients and themselves to increase wellbeing, manage stress, and improve relationships
- Cutting-edge research in the field of positive psychology and the science of well-being
- How to continue to build mindfulness-based happiness habits when you return home.
You will engage in peer discussions, outdoor meditations, reflections, group discussion, journaling, and one-on-one sharing.
You will leave with the experience and knowledge you need to apply these principles to your personal and professional life for more happiness and success.
Laura Delizonna, PhD
Positive psychology specialist and executive coach
Laura Delizonna is a positive psychologist who specializes in practical applications of science to increase thriving and success. She is a Stanford University instructor, a master teacher for Google’s Search Inside Yourself training, an executive coach, and a professional speaker in leading companies throughout the world.
Laura delivers science-based solutions derived from insights in neuroscience, positive psychology, and mindfulness. Her courses have been the most popular at Stanford’s Continuing Studies, where she has been teaching for 11 years. Participants call her trainings “life changing experiences.”
She works with leaders and top companies to strengthen positive culture by enhancing mindfulness, emotional intelligence, and resilience. Laura’s passion is boosting the ability of individuals and leaders to live their potential through habit design. She is an avid expert skier and loves to scuba dive.

7:30 pm – 9:30 pm Define positive psychology and PERMA, describe main research findings on causes and benefits of wellbeing, Broaden and Build theory of positive emotions, neuroscience of emotions, negativity bias, response flexibility
9:00 am -10:30 am Neuroscience on emotions, neuroplasticity, habit design, growth mindset, research and applications of positive psychology intervention, mindfulness, response flexibility.
10:30 am- 10:45 am Break
10:45 am – 12:00 pm Expression of appreciation and acts of kindness intervention, interpersonal mindfulness, research on benefits of mindfulness meditation, savor, gratitude intervention.
12:00 pm – 2:00 pm Lunch
2:00 pm – 3:00 pm Research and applications of empathy and compassion, Trust, empathy and compassion building techniques.
3:00 pm -3:15 pm Break
3:15 pm – 4:00 pm Transforming grievance, forgiveness, and response flexibility in relationships.
8:30 am -10: 00 am Values and meaning, learned optimism, clinical applications and creating action plans.
10:00 am – 10:15 am Break
10:15 am – 11:45 am Continue values and meaning, learned optimism, clinical
applications and creating action plans.
Psychologists, Psychoanalysts, Social Workers, Counselors/Marriage and Family therapists, Creative Arts Therapists, Chemical Dependency Counselors, Occupational therapists, Nurses. All levels.

Cancellations and Refunds
If You Cancel
- If you cancel 14 or more days prior to your arrival date, payments made will be refunded in full (less a $50 processing fee).
- If you cancel between 13 days and 1 day prior to your arrival date, a nonrefundable credit (less a $50 processing fee) will be held for one year from the date of issue.
- No credit or refund is available if you cancel on your arrival day, if you do not show up, or if you leave a program or event early.
- No refund will be available if you attend a program and are dissatisfied with its presentation or content.
If 1440 Multiversity Cancels
On rare occasions, due to unforeseen circumstances, 1440 Multiversity may need to cancel a program. Should this circumstance arise, you will receive a full refund.
Participants of approved continuing education courses may register complaints with the approval entity with an option to appeal to their licensing Board if displeased with the results of the process.
