Program Description

Our memories of the meals we grew up with are some of the dearest and most vivid we have from childhood. Celebrate the flavors of motherhood with author Susan Powers, the revolutionary, creative force behind Rawmazing, and her daughter Kaia Yue, holistic nutrition consultant. Together you’ll explore their fun, easy introduction to a plant-based diet, fast becoming known as the best path to optimal health for all ages.

This dynamic mother-daughter team will guide you through simple techniques and pro tips for creating incredibly delicious recipes that cover all of your nutritional bases.

This weekend will include:

  • Flavorful  combinations of raw and cooked foods  for ultimate nutrition
  • Practical plans to create meals from scratch
  • Versatile main courses for entertaining non-plant-based-eating friends
  • How to convert family favorites into whole-food recipes

Through lecture, demonstration, and some hands-on practice discover how easy and tasty plant-based cooking can be, and learn how to satisfy all appetites—even the pickiest eaters—with healthy recipes.

    Susan Powers

    Whole food nutrition expert, food photographer

    Susan Powers is author of five cookbooks, a professional food photographer, and the creative force behind She has been revolutionizing the world of raw food with her inventive and delicious recipes and beautiful food styling and photography.

    Certified in plant-based nutrition and in professional and plant-based cooking, Susan brings traditional food preparation methods into both the raw and cooked plant-based food world, balancing flavor, color, texture, and mouth feel.

    She started the Rawmazing blog seven years ago after finding a way of eating that helped her heal past digressions with food. After years of constantly searching to be “filled,” she found grace and true joy in life through raw, plant-based, and whole foods.

    Through her recipes, she shares the knowledge she has acquired in her food journey and her passion about food and how it affects our bodies and health. She aims to inspire people and help them bring health, joy, peace, and beauty into their lives.

    A top graduate from the Rouxbe Professional Plant-Based Cooking Certification, Susan trained in T. Collin Campbell’s Plant-Based Nutrition course through Cornell University’s eCornell Certificate Program, where she also learned to balance raw foods with the health benefits of properly prepared cooked foods.

    Kaia Yue

    Rouxbe Culinary RX-trained holistic nutritionist and consultant

    Kaia Yue’s passion is educating and supporting all people to create the healthy lifestyle and wellness practices that are uniquely tailored to their goals and desires.

    After graduating from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, she completed Rouxbe’s Culinary RX training and discovered a deep affinity for holistic nutrition and whole-body health. Kaia is currently studying to become a holistic nutrition consultant at Bauman College in Berkeley, California.

    Kaia combines her love of nutrition with her passion for movement practice and is a 200-hour certified yoga teacher and certified restorative yoga teacher. She recently completed her Lagree Fitness Method training and teaches in the East Bay Area.
