Program Description

Are you yearning for a dose of inspiration and transformation? An invitation into self-awareness? Use writing as a powerful pathway to your best possible life.

Join writing clinician John F. Evans, MAT, MA, EdD, for a weekend workshop to bring forth the strengths, values, passions, and language needed to create a personal road map for your life—vibrantly and purposefully. Based on expressive writing and neuropsychology research about how language reshapes the brain, this workshop uses evidence-based methods to help participants move through times of transition and emotional upheaval—like divorce, death of a loved one, new relationships, empty-nest transitions, living with illness, or entering a new career. Through independent writing exercises, group discussions, and evidenced-based expressive writing prompts and neuroplasticity techniques, write your way to self-awareness, healing, and growth.

In a supportive coaching environment, you will:

  • Engage in evidenced-based Expressive Writing and related neuroplasticity techniques as the foundation for growth and change
  • Learn how writing can bring closure to painful life events
  • Use writing to create a fresh vision for health, vitality, and joy
  • Process emotions and experiences in a way that transforms your thinking and psychological and spiritual health.

No affinity for or proficiency in writing is required-only a willingness to dive into writing as a transformative tool.
