Meditation is a love relationship between your body and infinity, and it’s sensual. The practices emerge in a natural way from your intimacy with the powers of life that are always flowing through you. There is a play of opposites – intimacy with our inner life inspires dynamic expression in our outer world, which in turn leads to deeper meditations. Come play in this approach in which we accept our everyday ordinary experience as a doorway into meditation and improvisation.
We explore movement, sitting, standing, lying down, and dancing as gateways into meditative experience.
- Engage all your senses: balance, motion, touch, taste, smell, internal and external listening, and inner and outer vision.
- Set yourself free to find what works for you as an individual
- Discover how your meditation practice emerges from your passion for life
- Learn skills you can take home to use when facing life’s challenges
- Develop a meditation practice you love and want to do, a nourishing relief that supports you in showing up for life and love
Lorin Roche, PhD
Lorin Roche began meditating in a physiology lab at the University of California in 1968 and immediately fell in love with the practice. He began teaching meditation in 1970 and earned his doctorate from University of California, Irvine for his work on the subjective experience of meditation.
He trains meditation teachers worldwide and specializes in helping people customize individual meditation practices to align with their unique nature. Rather than imposing a standardized, one-size-fits-all model, he has drawn on insights from the best of Western science and Eastern yoga to create his own approach called Instinctive Meditation.
Lorin is the author of several books, including Meditation Made Easy, The Radiance Sutras: 112 Gateways to the Yoga of Wonder and Delight, and, with his wife Camille Maurine, Meditation Secrets for Women: Discovering Your Passion, Pleasure, and Inner Peace.View Bio PageCamille Maurine
