Program Description

Are you expressing your innate creativity to the fullest? Do you wake up with exuberance, joy, and a sense of a deeply held mission? Are you nurturing yourself and your highest aspirations for living?

Bruce Cryer will tell you: every human being has the ability to create powerfully. After a career spanning Broadway, biotech, publishing, teaching, coaching, and leadership development, and after a series of life-threatening illnesses, a “renaissance” brought him back to the creative pursuits his soul loves.

In this highly interactive, experiential workshop, you will explore:

  • Bruce’s Five Catalysts Model for Awakening Creativity: Mindfulness (with heart), Movement, Nature, Playfulness, and Artistic Expression
  • New science behind why creativity is such a powerful tonic for your health
  • Specific tools, techniques, and practices to find, anchor, and sustain your newfound creative mojo
  • How to get past the fear that can keep even the greatest artists or writers blocked
  • How to follow your heart in any and every creative endeavor.

This weekend will teach you how to express your creativity to solve problems, start important projects, repair relationship challenges, help others in need, and become the fullest expression of yourself you can possibly be.

    Bruce Cryer

Artist, consultant, entrepreneur, and Renaissance man

With a four-decade career as a singer, actor, dancer, publisher, author, marketing executive, CEO, consultant, mentor, and leadership coach, Bruce Cryer is a true Renaissance man, fueled by a deep passion for social evolution, performance enhancement, and personal growth.

Bruce’s career began on the Broadway stage, performing more than 800 times as The Boy in the world’s longest-running musical, The Fantasticks. He went on to help found and run HeartMath in the 90’s—an organization whose research on heart-brain communication, stress reduction, and resilience has earned a sterling international reputation.

An experienced publisher and distinguished writer, Bruce has edited a variety of titles in the field of health, well-being, resilience, spiritual development, and performance and is the coauthor of From Chaos to Coherence: The Power to Change Performance. His article on executive stress and health was published twice by Harvard Business Review, and for over 20 years he has taught on the topics of stress, resilience, and creativity at Stanford.

In 2012, after a bout with a serious illness, Bruce cocreated What Makes Your Heart Sing? with Emmy Award–winning composer Gary Malkin to bring audiences into a deeper understanding of the power of inspiration and the arts to transform their work and personal lives.

Bruce was honored as a Top 50 Thought Leader in Personal Excellence by Leadership Excellence magazine. Bruce’s diverse and fascinating background leading successful companies and performing for large audiences blends beautifully to create a powerful, culturally rich, and results-driven approach to working with companies and individuals.

In 2018 Bruce is releasing his first album of original songs, called Renaissance Human, which he cocreated with the brilliant Brothers Koren.
