Program Description

Nature and art blend perfectly to create a tool for connecting to our sense of belonging. They clear our busy minds, open us to our innate creativity, and make us more resilient to change.

Join renowned artist and Morning Altars creator Day Schildkret for a weekend immersion in this enriching seven-step practice. He’ll teach you how to create personal earth altars and experience the healing power of art and nature. In addition to attending lectures on health and wellness and engaging in writing and movement practices, you will:

  • Wander and forage the land together, connecting with and collecting stones, flowers, leaves, and berries
  • Collaborate with nature to express your heart and tell the stories of your life through patterns, symmetry, and art
  • Learn techniques for making earth altars and how to use them as tools for personal creative expression and connection with nature
  • Explore how the smallest and simplest of creations is the very thing that can nourish our souls.

In this troubled time of high speed, distraction, and disconnection, it is more important than ever to cultivate rituals that can slow us down, open our eyes, uncork our imaginations, transform challenging emotions, and bring more meaning to our lives. Come share in this powerful, transformative experience.
