Program Description

This course uses improvised movement, vocalization, guided imagery, art making, journaling, and body-centered expressive therapy to deepen your clinical knowledge of somatic and expressive therapies and ignite your creative fire. Through experience, discussion, play, creative expression, and investigation, we will develop strategies that fully utilize essential aspects of body-mind therapy.

Pioneering experiential techniques to unlock the link between our emotions and our bodies, Psychotherapist, Motivational Speaker, and Expressive Movement Expert, Rachel Fleischman, leads participants in bringing about an emotional release that transforms into a physical expression which can then be seen and felt by the participant.

Through her unique approach combining movement, intuition, expressive arts, mindfulness, and play, you’ll learn the process of healing, which leads to unlocking your power and passion. Participants have commented on Rachel’s compassionate and nurturing approach which makes them feel safe.

Participants enjoy an embodied, creative, and soulful approach to healing, while using a mix of movement, vocalization, guided imagery, energy balancing, journaling as well as multi-expressive arts.
You will learn how to:

  • Utilize the here and now to be more confident with challenging clients and challenging moments in sessions.
  • Demonstrate Expressive Arts tools to deepen awareness and insight into clinical interactions.
  • Identify useful techniques to go deeper with non-mindful clients so that you can bring deeper awareness and insight in the clinical work.
  • Review several somatic and expressive techniques to assist clients with anxiety and affect dysregulation.
  • Describe specific mindfulness tools that clients can utilize when necessary, and also gain mastery in techniques of guided imagery and relaxation to support calm and affect dysregulation for self and clients.
  • Construct tools to help clients understand body-mind connection and use resources to modulate affect dysregulation.
  • Identify new tools to deepen body-mind awareness to benefit client very directly with specific issues and challenges.

You will leave feeling centered and empowered, with a healing practice you can continue to use to release childhood and relationship pain, unleash power and passion, create abundance, and live with more creativity and joy.
