Program Description

Dance is one of humanity’s most universal and ancient transformative rituals, from the whirling dervish to the Shakers, from the waltz to the rave. We dance for joy, cleansing, and clarity, guided by embodied wisdom that transcends the thinking brain. Join internationally renowned movement teachers Jovinna Chan, E-RYT 500, and Jurian Hughes, MFA, E-RYT 500, for a New Year’s celebration like no other.

Jovinna and Jurian will lead you in a New Year’s Eve dance ritual and a New Year’s Day community blessing. Join them at beautiful 1440 and anchor your intentions and affirm your re-energized relationship with yourself, your work, and your dharma.

Through an alchemical combination of movement, relaxation, and meditation, you will:

  • Fully embody being alive
  • Cleanse from your core through your pores
  • Harmonize your body and mind
  • Move into a deeper acceptance of who you truly are
  • Gain clarity about the past year’s journey and intuit your way forward.

Welcome the new year by following the inspiration of your body and breath, in sacred community with fellow celebrants. As your year draws to a close and fresh opportunity blossoms, let go of the past and make space for new beginnings.

No dance experience is required—just a willingness to explore ecstatic movement and deep stillness, and to draw on their power.
