Program Description

Get ready to create a vibrant life that matters for you and your world. Join The Hivery team of creators, mentors, and expert facilitators to move beyond obstructions or fear of the unknown and into the possibilities of what’s next. You’ll be guided in identifying the intersection of your core values, interests, strengths, and skills—where fabulous new possibilities reside.

The Hivery is a collaborative, creative coworking space and idea lab founded by visionary entrepreneur and artist Grace Kraaijvanger. At this rejuvenating retreat, she will be joined by business growth strategist Megan Flatt, holistic life coach Laura Riordan, PhD, and therapist and life/career counselor Linda Lesem, MS, as they help you identify, embrace, and share the unique artistry of yourself. Leverage your “secret sauce”—your creative genius, skills, knowledge, experience, and even pain—to make the life you want.

In this safe, nurturing, inspiring, and action-based retreat you will:

  • Find your voice and develop your personal brand statement or personal mission statement
  • Let go of expectations and what no longer serves you—clear away roadblocks to create space for what works and what’s next
  • Learn to claim your time with mind-set principles around abundance and time management strategies
  • Create goal-setting, decision-making, self-care, and self-love habits to move through discomfort, fear, or self-sabotage
  • Draw an achievable road map—a custom guidebook to make your big ideas into an actionable plan for your next 90 days (and beyond!).

Only you can tell your story and create your unique path. From this powerful immersion, you’ll take away a clear, thoughtful understanding of who you are, where you are strong, and what makes you tick—key components to organizing your life and making actual change.

    Grace Kraaijvanger

Entrepreneur, artist, business mentor, founder of The Hivery

Grace Kraaijvanger is a visionary entrepreneur, artist, and founder of The Hivery, a collaborative, creative coworking space and idea lab in Mill Valley, California—a place where women come together to work, learn, grow, cooperate, laugh, play, and be more of who they are. She created The Hivery as a realization of her long-standing dream to bring a community of women together in a beautiful space that would inspire and empower them to reach their fullest potential.

From the beginning, The Hivery has been a metaphor for so much more than just a physical space; it represents a movement and an elevation of women.

Grace is a go-to speaker and business mentor who has spoken at high-profile events such as Watermark, The Girls Lounge at Dreamforce, Listen to Your Mother, Woven Women’s Conference, as well as countless Hivery events and gatherings.

The Hivery was awarded Best Office Space in the United States and Canada by Wayfair Inc. in 2017. Grace and The Hivery have been featured in outlets such as Domino, the San Francisco Chronicle, the Marin Independent Journal, Huffington Post, and Entrepreneur.

    Laura Riordan, PhD

    Holistic life coach

Laura Riordan is a holistic life coach who helps her clients find balance and meaningful success. With a doctorate in transpersonal psychology and 20 years in the mind and body wellness industry, she brings wisdom, clarity, and swiftness to her coaching practice.

Laura began her career as the head of client services for retreat-style resorts and spas, helping people center and refocus themselves while escaping the daily challenges of modern life. While overseeing spa programs, she discovered that they were great at providing short-term relief, but they could not offer the kind of long-standing change that so many people needed.

Laura’s coaching practice evolved from the understanding that people need a guide to help identify their meaningful work, ground “aha moments,” and give accountability and infrastructure to make lasting changes. Laura leverages her education to help her clients find bigger versions of themselves, using her strategic and practical skills to create a road map to get there.

    Megan Flatt

    Business growth strategist and mentor

Megan Flatt is a business growth strategist for female entrepreneurs, specifically mom entrepreneurs, who want to lead thriving businesses while remaining present for all the other important things in their lives. She works to empower female CEOs to create a fulfilling life and set a stellar example for their children.

Megan believes you can accomplish anything by starting with how you want to feel, building a strategy that creates that, then crafting a plan to get you there. You deserve to have the confidence and clarity to see motherhood for the beautiful, powerful advantage that it is. All you need is the strategy, a plan, and the support to get you there.

You can almost always find her with a latte in hand, a stack of post-it notes at the ready, and a random lego figure in her pocket. Learn more about Megan and create your own Weekly Work Flow on her website.

    Linda Lesem, MS

Therapist and life and career coach

Linda Lesem is a trained therapist, career counselor, and life coach specializing in positive psychology (the science of happiness). She works individually with clients in her own practice, and also facilitates groups for clients who are yearning to create positive change in their lives.

Linda created Moms in Transition, a workshop for mothers who are ready to take their next step, and are asking themselves, “What is next for me?” She offers a powerful way for a small group of women to be together as they get back in touch with who they are and what they want. They then start the process of creating a plan for themselves—whether that be reentering the paid working world, going back to school, or volunteering in personally meaningful ways.

Linda has a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Dominican University, a college counseling certificate from the University of California, Berkeley, a career counseling certificate from John F. Kennedy University, and a positive psychology coaching certificate from the Wholebeing Institute.

She has worked in middle schools, high schools, and both private and public colleges and universities. Beyond her private practice, she was a career coach at Hult International Business School for master’s degree level business students from all corners of the world.
