Program Description

Modern neuroscience proves that what we practice grows stronger. Our repeated experiences actually shape our brains.

This is incredibly hopeful news—happiness can be trained step-by-step into the very structure of our minds.

In this workshop, clinical psychologist Shauna Shapiro, PhD, guides you in an exploration of how mindfulness rewires our brains and transforms our lives. You will immerse yourself in the tools of meditation and lovingkindness, as well as focused practices for cultivating joy and connection.

Through lecture, discussion, and practical exercises, you will:

  • Discover how to combine modern neuroplasticity and ancient wisdom to make positive modifications to your brain and life
  • Take home exercises specifically designed to grow neuropathways of health, happiness, and compassion
  • Practice using different types of attention and concentration (meditation) to decrease stress levels and improve a variety of psychological conditions.

Join us and engage in powerful practices that will strengthen the neural paths of joy and wisdom. This workshop is appropriate for anyone curious about meditation and a deepened understanding of the beauty and potential of human life. Be prepared for unexpected delight and empowerment.
