The ancient invitation of the Buddha was to “come and see” for yourself the truth of the way things are, a rousing invitation to fearless and sustained self-inquiry. This meditation retreat will be a deep dive into your own experience, an exploration of the nature of your own heart and mind.
In this intensive retreat join Will Kabat-Zinn, and weave together traditional approaches to Insight Meditation, the heart of which is the cultivation of mindfulness, including sitting and walking meditation, lying down practices, and guided mindful movement. There will be an emphasis on cultivating a seamless continuity of awareness in all activities, underscoring the non-separation of life and practice.
This retreat is a practice-based, immersion experience and goes beyond the usual 1440 Multiversity workshop schedule. It will include extended stretches of silence as well as periods of conversation and dialogue about our unfolding experiences.
