Do you feel the deep need to be of service to a greater good? Are you ready to be a visionary and movement builder in sustainability and health?
Join David Gottfried, the father of the global green building movement, for a weekend immersion into BuildMove™, his seven-step framework for change agents, leaders, and entrepreneurs who want to build and scale a transformational movement.
Through guided strategic planning, case studies, breakout sessions, expert dialogs, coaching, attendee “hot-seats” and Q&A you will:
- Affirm your guiding PPMV [purpose, passion, mission and vision]
- Identify your barriers to success and the prerequisites for creating your own Plan L and associated movement building
- Learn and apply BuildMove’s seven-step framework to your start-up or existing organization, including benchmarks like USGBC’s LEED Green Building Rating System
- Learn ways to make more money, boost your wealth and brand, and economically fuel your initiative
- Be inspired, gain structure and accountability, learn how to start, grow and sustain your own Plan L that can grow into a movement
Sara Gottfried, MD, David’s wife and business partner, will be participating as a special guest, facilitating intensive dialogue and providing select participants with hot-seat critiques of their organizational BuildMove strategies.
Return home with a detailed plan to implement, complete with next steps, priorities, and critical milestones. You’ll leave this program ready to accelerate positive change and live a life of purpose, balance, passion, and legacy.
Originator of the global green building movement
A former real estate developer and construction manager, David Gottfried is the pioneer and founder of the U.S. Green Building Council and World Green Building Council (GBC). The GBCs’ movement has likely reduced global warming and the ecological footprint more than any other organizations in the world.
With a degree in engineering and resource management from Stanford University, David serves as the CEO of Regenerative Ventures and Gottfried Institute. His strategic advising has accelerated commerce and the adoption of advanced green technology and health products and methodologies. Past clients include: Dreamworks, Starbucks, Genentech, Apple, Stanford University, the State of California, and the government of China.
David has received numerous leadership awards, including the WorldGBC Global Green Building Entrepreneurship Award, now given out annually in Gottfried’s name, USGBC’s Leadership Award, and the USGBC Northern California Chapter’s Super Hero Award. He was inducted into the Green Industry Hall of Fame and named to the Purpose Economy 100 for his pioneering work.
Gottfried is a global keynote speaker and the author of three influential books including the award winning best seller Explosion Green. He also wrote Greening My Life and Greed to Green.
Gottfried’s former residence was the highest-rated LEED Platinum home in the world. He now lives in Berkeley, California, with his wife and two daughters, and he is an avid cyclist and a modern art painter exhibiting throughout the Bay Area.View Bio Page
