Alignment-based Vinyasa yoga teacher
Laurie Sleep is a yoga teacher and teacher trainer from San Francisco currently living in New York City. She teaches alignment-based flow classes that focus on cultivating mindfulness through movement.
An avid hiker, backpacker, and nature lover, she also teaches Hiking Yoga and leads retreats and workshops that integrate yoga, hiking, and nature as a way to facilitate connection and groundedness. She co-founded Heart and Hand Yoga Retreats, which creates meaningful trips that combine yoga and mindfulness practice with travel, adventure, and volunteer work.
Laurie earned her initial 500-hour certification through YogaWorks, apprenticing with Jeanmarie Paolillo. She currently studies with Annie Carpenter and has completed over 350 hours of SmartFLOW training. In addition to her yoga teaching and training, Laurie has a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education and over 15 years experience as a classroom teacher, teacher educator, and educational researcher.

Outdoor-based yoga teacher
Lisa Gaillant began her yoga practice in her living room with DVDs with Sean Corne and Rodney Yee. As a full-time mom; this was a special time to decompress and renewal. As the kids grew and allotted her more time to dive deeper into the Yogic lifestyle, she started attending classes at a local studio in Redwood City. Lisa continued her journey practicing different styles of Yoga, attending workshops, and eventually completing her 200 hour teacher training certification with Frog Lotus Yoga International with Edna Barr in the summer of 2012.
Enjoying the gorgeous, vast landscapes of the Bay Area’s outdoors is another true love for Lisa. She was able to merge her two passions into one by leading Yoga in the Park classes. Hiking Yoga became another way to share this wonderful combination of soul food. First employed with Eric Kipp and Hiking Yoga in early 2014 to leading her own classes at Lexington Reservoir in Los Gatos. Complimenting her zest for practicing outdoor Yoga, she pursued her certification of Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga with Leigh Claxton at Onboard SUP in Sausalito summer of 2014.
Lisa is a registered Dental Assistant and Massage Therapist with 30 years of experience. She currently works at a pediatric dental office in Palo Alto. She spends her spare time pet sitting, and hiking with her daughters Nadine, Hanna, and her grand dog, Daisy. She believes in the importance of helping others surround themselves in Mother Nature to reconnect and realize what’s most important to healthy living in these times of nonstop technology.View Bio Page
