Program Description

Each of us is governed by one of the five Chinese Elements of Water, Wood, Fire, Earth, or Metal. This element is the filter through which we operate in our lives: everything we do is refracted through its lens.

In this five-day experiential workshop Lauren Walker, creator of Energy Medicine Yoga, will lead you deep into your own energy and closer to a body/mind/spirit transformation. Based on her book The Energy Medicine Yoga Prescription, this workshop will show you just how simple it is to achieve and maintain whole health.

Through asana, breath work, meditation, visualization, as well as journaling, self-massage, tapping, ceremony and ritual, you will learn:

  • What your dominant element is and how it affects you
  • How to bring all five elements into balance for optimal health and resilience
  • The role your emotions play in your physical, mental, and spiritual well-being
  • The foundations of the intuitive, tantra-based practice of Energy Medicine Yoga
  • Techniques for freeing emotional and physical pain.

Come away with a daily practice and tools geared specifically for you, helping you heal and thrive in every area of your life. This week is about personal transformation, personal power, and joy.

    Lauren Walker

    Transformational yoga teacher, creator of Energy Medicine Yoga

    Lauren Walker has been teaching yoga and meditation since 1997. A student of Donna Eden, Lauren created Energy Medicine Yoga while teaching at Norwich University, the oldest, private, military college in the country. She saw that these students had no extra time in their days and that many of them slept only four to five hours per night while taking on demanding academic and military responsibilities. Energy Medicine Yoga provided tools to create more time where there was none—to make their days feel more expansive and their lives easier and more integrated. Years later, Lauren teaches this intuitive, tantra-based practice around the world.

    In addition to conducting teacher trainings and expanding the EMYoga school, Lauren’s passion is leading transformational retreats. Helping people shift out of difficult patterns and drop into the ease and joy of life is her juiciest and most satisfying work.

    Lauren is the author of Energy Medicine Yoga: Amplify the Healing Power of Your Yoga Practice and The Energy Medicine Yoga Prescription. Recently named one of the top 100 most influential yoga teachers in America, she has taught at Yoga Journal Conference, Wanderlust, Omega, Kripalu, the beautiful Hollyhock retreat center on Cortes Island and has been featured in Yoga Journal, Mantra, Yoga Digest, and The New York Times.

    Lauren is an avid skier and credits her success on the slopes to EMYoga, visualization, and tapping.
