Distinguished teachers Sylvia Boorstein, MSW, PhD, Brahmani Liebman, MSEd, E-RYT 500, and Jashoda Edmunds, E-RYT 500, lead this weekend journey of learning—with the whole mind and body—to touch the wisdom within every cell.
Meditation, mindful yoga, and dharma teachings practiced together provide a profound way to liberate the mind from habits that cause suffering. Through both direct insight and inspiration, we can recognize that peace is possible in each moment regardless of life’s changing conditions.
This retreat will be filled with periods of sitting and walking meditation along with dharma teachings that will be recapitulated and integrated with the body through a mindful yoga practice. These yoga sessions will include both passive and gentle, active practice.
You will experience:
- An inner environment of calm that supports clarity of vision
- Connection to insight that builds as wisdom and expresses itself as compassion, the key to happiness
- An increased ability to listen deeply and make wise choices
- How to bring the many benefits of these practices into daily life.
When the teachings of the dharma and yoga are practiced in this seamless way, we have the pleasure and satisfaction of learning cognitively, contemplatively, and viscerally.
Sylvia, Brahmani, and Jashoda have been friends and colleagues for years. Their teachings integrate mindful meditation and yoga practice—and interweave the Buddhist and yogic perspectives—with joy and lightness of heart
