Program Description

Are you seeking a more meaningful relationship with yourself and Spirit? Tap into the power of the changing seasons with beloved yoga therapist and teacher Michele Klink, E-RYT 500, and shamanic healer and yoga teacher Martha Williams, MSW. Enjoy gentle yoga, deep relaxation, and energy balancing in this spirit-filled weekend honoring the winter solstice.

The solstice is a time to slow down, quiet the mind, reflect on the past year, and set your intentions for what lies ahead. Michele and Martha will guide you to deepen your connection to body, energy, and spirit through movement, breath, meditation, ritual, and ceremony.

You will ground deeply, release stress, and come into balance with greater clarity on your heart and soul’s desires.

In this program you will:

  • Gather in ceremony to honor the past year and look towards creating the year of your dreams
  • Connect with your power animal: a helping spirit offering guidance, empowerment, healing, comfort, and strength
  • Create sacred space, calling in your ancestors and helping spirits
  • Learn shamanic practices that you can incorporate into your life
  • Move mindfully and be held in the safe container of yoga
  • Relax deeply in restorative yoga and yoga nidra.

Connect to your deeper self, that place of wisdom and comfort, through a combination of yoga and shamanic practices. You will leave with a new sense of balance and peace, as well as the tools for strengthening your relationship with the Spirit world—a potent source of guidance, support, and protection.

    Michele Klink, E-RYT 500

    Yoga teacher, teacher trainer, and yoga therapist

    Michele Klink is a YogaWorks certified instructor, teacher trainer, and professional mentor for new and established teachers. Her specialties include yoga therapeutics, teaching beginners, and inspiring an evolved subtle body practice for the advanced student.

    Michele came to yoga from a background of athletics and holistic health education. She has been practicing yoga since 1990, beginning her training with 15 years of study in the Iyengar Yoga tradition, with emphasis on yoga therapeutics. She has studied many yoga styles, is well versed in classical yoga and Tantric philosophical education, and has a personal practice of Karma Yoga.

    An active member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT), Michele is a Registered Yoga Alliance E-RYT 500 instructor with over 5,000 hours of teaching experience. She offers public classes, private sessions, workshops, continuing education, and retreats to encourage the fulfillment of yoga, health, and creative aspirations.

    A Yoga Tune Up® certified instructor since 2014, she is trained in The Roll Model® method of therapy ball-rolling massage routines to repair, restore, and revitalize the body and its fascial system. Michele currently teaches at YogaWorks in Marin County, California.

    Martha Williams, MSW

    Yoga teacher, therapist, and shamanic healer

    Martha Williams has been engaged in the world of health and wellness for close to 30 years and shares her passion for health, well-being, and dynamic spiritual connection through workshops, yoga classes, and shamanic healing.

    Trained as a clinical social worker, certified yoga teacher, and shamanic practitioner, she was part of the workshop programming team with the country’s largest yoga and holistic health center, Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, for close to 10 years. She is currently part of the workshop programming team at 1440 Multiversity and the Art of Living Retreat Center (Boone, North Carolina).
