Take a sacred pause as you prepare to transition to a new year and set the stage for transformation and new possibilities in 2018. Join meditation teacher Deborah Eden Tull in this retreat to deepen your practice of meditation and mindfulness and participate in the powerful process of setting conscious intentions.
This approach to setting New Year’s resolutions is not about creating a program of self-improvement—it’s about setting off on a course of self-acceptance and conscious choice. It’s a celebration of who you really are.
You will learn a number of conscious compassionate awareness techniques, including:
- Sitting and walking meditation
- How to engage in mindful inquiry, including mindful eating
- Writing exercises to help you clarifying your goals
- How to meditate in nature.
You will harvest the lessons of 2017, release limiting beliefs and obstacles, and connect on a deeper level with your inner life. As you do, you will fully align with your heart’s intentions for the year ahead and enter 2018 ready for growth and change.
Deborah Eden Tull
Zen meditation teacher, speaker, and activist
Deborah Eden Tull, founder of Mindful Living Revolution, is a Zen meditation and mindfulness teacher, author, activist, and sustainability educator. She teaches the integration of compassionate awareness into every aspect of our lives. Deborah spent seven years training as a monk at a silent Zen monastery and has been living in, and teaching about, sustainable communities for over 20 years.
Her teaching style is grounded in compassionate awareness, experiential learning, inquiry, and an unwavering commitment to personal transformation. She teaches engaged awareness practice, which emphasizes the interconnection between personal awakening and global sustainability.
She is author of The Natural Kitchen: Your Guide for the Sustainable Food Revolution and is working on a book about relational mindfulness and how to reclaim our power in an age of disconnect. She is certified in permaculture design, bio-intensive organic gardening, and compost education, and teaches Work That Reconnects, a program created by Buddhist scholar Joanna Macy. She is a UCLA-certified mindfulness facilitator and a teaching assistant for UCLA’s Mindful Awareness Research Center.
