Program Description

Creativity is not a luxury. Two decades ago, Julia Cameron published her groundbreaking book The Artist’s Way, a course in discovering and recovering your creative self. Beloved by more than four million people worldwide, the course is credited with having helped them find and express their authentic creativity in their life and work.

Join us for this very special immersion course with Julia Cameron herself and jump-start your creative process—or deepen your already existing work as an artist. You will learn:

  • To recognize, nurture, and protect your inner artist
  • To devote time to creative pursuits—and move beyond pain and creative constriction
  • How to recognize and resolve fear, remove emotional scar tissue, and strengthen your confidence.

Stop telling yourself “it’s too late.” Stop waiting until you make enough money to do something you love. Stop believing “it’s just my ego” whenever you yearn for a more creative life. Stop pretending that dreams don’t matter, that you should be more sensible. Stop fearing that your family and friends will think you’re crazy.

Working with a combination of experiential exercises, lecture, question and answer sessions, and readings, you will experience an intensive, guided encounter with your own creativity—your private villains, champions, wishes, fears, dreams, hopes, and triumphs. As Julia says, “The experience will make you excited, depressed, angry, afraid, joyous, hopeful, and, ultimately, more free.”

    Author and artist

Julia Cameron has been an active artist for more than three decades, with more than 35 published books, ranging from her best-selling The Artist’s Way, which has sold more than four million copies, to her widely praised and hard-hitting crime novel The Dark Room.

Credited with founding a new movement that has enabled millions to realize their creative dreams, she is an award-winning poet, playwright, and filmmaker, as well as a songwriter, and she has multiple credits in theater, film, and television.
