Program Description

Enter a sojourn into song and soul guided by the wisdom of five ancient spiritual paths: Zen Buddhism, Hinduism with Nada Yoga, Kabbalistic Judaism, Contemplative Christianity, and Sufi Islam.

World-renowned musician, composer, and activist Yuval Ron brings his work with master spiritual teachers of the East and neuroscientists of the West to this unique seminar in sacred sound and movement meditation. This immersive 5-day program offers you a profound spiritual experience, a taste of the Great Mystery, and progression towards sacred ecstasy.

Engage in walking, chanting, and sound meditations; sacred movement from Zen, Jewish, Christian, and Sufi sources; and Yuval’s storytelling, poetry, and live oud music. You will ground your body and open your heart as you:

  • Learn about the introspective and ecstatic practices of five ancient spiritual paths
  • Explore sound and movement meditations scientifically proven to promote healing and lower stress, anxiety, depression, and anger
  • Journey deep into your inner world with sacred chants that expand your consciousness and deepen your compassion
  • Experience spiritual and mindfulness practices shown to change the brain and enhance memory, cognition, and awareness for greater inner peace.

Bathe in the angelic, earth-moving talent of Yuval Ron and immerse yourself in the world of meditation, ancient ritual, brain science, and sound to heal your body, expand your consciousness, and lighten your heart.

    World-renowned musician, composer, and activist

Yuval Ron is an internationally renowned world music artist, composer, educator, peace activist, and record producer. He has researched ethnic musical traditions and spiritual paths worldwide and is the founder of the Inspired Sound Initiative, a charity foundation bringing education for inner peace, unity, beauty, and harmony to at-risk and under-served populations worldwide.

Under Yuval’s leadership, the internationally renowned music and dance group the Yuval Ron Ensemble (featured on CNN and National Geographic) has been actively involved in creating musical bridges between people of the Jewish, Muslim, and Christian faiths. Yuval has produced field recordings in the Sinai Desert with the Bedouins, archival preservation recordings of the sacred Yemenite, Moroccan, and Andalusian Jewish traditions, and the album of master musician Omar Faruk Tekbilek titled One Truth-A Window into the Divine Passion and Poetry of Sufism.

In collaboration with neuroscientists Mark Robert Waldman and Dr. Andrew Newberg, pioneer healers Robert Monroe and Dr. Richard Gold, and others, Yuval continues to explore the connection between sound and the brain. Commissioned by Metta Mindfulness Music, he has created music for medical and healing use in clinics and treatments centers.

Among his many honors, Yuval composed the songs and score for the Oscar-winning short film West Bank Story in 2007, and was the featured artist in the Gala Concert for the Dalai Lama’s initiative Seeds of Compassion in the Seattle Opera Hall in 2008.
