Floral arrangements are much more than mere decoration. They provide a way to deeply and intimately connect to our nature and the world around us. Master floral sculptor and author of Being with Flowers Anthony Ward illuminates how to collaborate with flowers to bring more peace, jubilance, and vitality into everyday life.
This immersive and interactive workshop shows step-by-step how to fully accentuate each flower to create the perfect arrangement.
- Through periods of silence and reflection coupled with hands-on exercises and guided meditations, gain experience and insight into the art of mindful floral arrangement.
- On slow-paced, fun-filled walks, gather native grasses, leaves, and vines to pair with a multitude of ornate flowers.
- Hone aesthetic elements of color, shape, line, and contour to highlight the essence and vibrancy of plant life.
- Take your love of flowers and the organic world to a sacred place.
Empower your natural spirit to consciously curate the botanical divinity of our planet into a stunning bouquet. Return home from this expressive, inspired weekend with the skills, practiced wisdom, and careful consideration to sculpt plant life into its most radiant beauty.
Anthony Ward, also known as The Flower Guru, lives at the cutting edge of the world of floral art. His unique and disciplined art form blends the aesthetics of nature with ceremony, music, dance, and stage-crafted improvisation. He blends elements of color, shape, line, and form to highlight the essence and spirituality of plant life.
Anthony is the author of the groundbreaking Being with Flowers: Floral Art as Spiritual Practice, lovingly endorsed by Alice Walker, Julia Butterfly Hill, and Dr. Jane Goodall.
Anthony’s creative expression reaches way beyond arranging blooms—from the totality of stems and leaves, the choice of the vessel, and all of the elements that surround the living and spontaneous sculpture.
Ward has been performing on stage since 2002 with bands, DJs, and performers, merging dance and floral art in a completely unique and original way. He performs globally and is the subject of the documentary Dancing with the Flowers. Anthony has created floral sculptures for events by STS9, Tipper, and the Polish Ambassador. He’s been showcased by Maya Angelou, Al Gore, the Dalai Lama, Madonna, and many others.View Bio Page
