Program Description

In the colder months, the earth contracts and replenishes its energy reserves. We need opportunities to do the same. Align with nature and savor winter’s gifts as you slow down, turn inward, and recharge. Yoga helps to relieve stress, renew energy, and increase clarity by revitalizing the body, quieting the mind, and softening the heart center.

In this weekend workshop with Jillian Pransky, E-RYT 500, you will explore:

  • Slow Flow Vinyasa sequences to warm your body and boost your immune system
  • Restorative yoga poses to help you turn inward, calm the mind, and gently let go of tension
  • Walking meditations to ground your body through deep connection with nature
  • Metta practices to open your heart and connect you to your inner well of compassion.

    Jillian Pransky is an international presenter and the director of restorative therapeutic yoga teacher training for YogaWorks and Author,Deep Listening..

    Her Calm Body, Clear Mind DVD and Relaxmore CD have garnered excellent reviews from Dr. Mehmet Oz, Yoga Journal, and many others. Jillian is a featured yoga expert for Prevention magazine. A student of Pema Chödrön’s work since 1998, Jillian infuses her yoga classes with mindfulness practices, compassion, and ease. Her seamless style of working simultaneously with the body, mind, and spirit, while attuning with nature and the environment, creates inspiring classes and an integrative healing experience.

    Introduced to yoga and initiated into Transcendental Meditation (TM) at age nine, she began a passionate study of yoga in the early 1990s. First certified to teach yoga in 1994, she was initiated into the ISHTA yoga lineage by Yogiraj Alan Finger and his father Mani Finger in 1998.

    In 2000, after 10 years in the corporate world, Jillian left her position as mass market marketing director for St Martin’s Press to transform her part-time yoga career into a full-time passion. She is certified in ISHTA yoga, trained in Anusara yoga, and certified in restorative yoga therapy and Thai yoga healing.
