Youth Elevate™

Empowering Young Women and Girls Through Yoga

1440 Multiversity 800 Bethany Drive Scotts Valley,CA 95066

We all know the importance placed on academic success. But what about the importance of social and emotional learning? Or harnessing our thoughts? Or self-esteem, self-worth, and self-love?

Join Dana Damara, yogini, mystic, mother, and activist, for a deep dive into Youth Elevate—a method of empowering young girls through yoga, mindfulness, and social and emotional learning. Get certified to bring this program to middle and high school girls and teach them that the sacredness of their bodies, minds, and hearts is a tool that heals all and can change the world.

In two modules: Social and Emotional Learning for Our Youth and Nurturing Sisterhood for Our Girls, you will learn:

  • How to work with teens and age-appropriate activities for optimal learning
  • The foundations of social and emotional learning, including self-awareness, self-management, responsible decision making, social skills, and social awareness
  • Yoga postures and specific sequencing for adolescents and young adults
  • Sacred tools and rituals to teach self-empowerment and foster sisterhood among young women
  • How to bring this work into schools and create after-school programs, camps, and retreats.

Participants are required to move through all components of the program, including lecture, integration, testing, and internship before fully utilizing the Youth Elevate/Girls Elevate curriculum and the Youth Elevate brand name. Upon completion of this course and 10 hours of volunteer work (Seva Foundation), you will obtain a certificate to lead Teen Yoga classes in the Youth Elevate format.

Faculty Bio

Dana Damara

Dana Damara is one of the Bay Area’s premier yoga instructors and leading advocates for female empowerment. She is a mystic, a mother, a teacher of teachers, and an author who traverses between the magical, the ethereal, and the real-life drama of parenting two teenage girls.

She is an activist for women of all ages who is committed to feminine embodiment, self-love, sisterhood, sacred ceremony and ritual, and creating a safe space for evolution. When she’s not leading one of her fiery Moon Mystic Flow classes, she may be found facilitating a retreat, hosting a women’s Moon Circle, empowering her clients, creating an inseparable tribe with her Embody Truth Teacher Training program, or simply hanging out with her daughters.

Dana believes that the body has many depths. What happens on the outside is simply a reflection of what is going on inside, and our work is to be awake to that wisdom. She believes true liberation is about the continual practice of self-inquiry, exploration, and discovery.

Why Attend

  • Learn how to support girls through one of the toughest times in their lives—a time where social media is constantly testing their self-worth and values.

  • Learn how to share your love of yoga with teens and step forward as a leader and mentor in your community.

  • Help young women cultivate intuition, confidence, honesty, integrity, a positive body image, sacred sexuality, compassion, and empathy.

  • A tribe of loyal girlfriends is powerful and potent—teach young women the importance of cultivating connection through ritual and an emphasis on sisterhood.
