Your One Wild and Precious Life

A Deepening Gathering for Women

1440 Multiversity 800 Bethany Drive Scotts Valley,CA 95066

To find and live your personal myth is to be true to who you are. The premise of Jean Shinoda Bolen’s Jungian, feminist, and spiritual perspective begins with the certainty that it matters what we do with our “one wild and precious life,” a quote from the poet Mary Oliver.

The archetypes in Jean’s classic book Goddesses in Everywoman are within us—and the expectations and limitations from outside act powerfully on us. What happens to us, as well as the choices we make ourselves, shape the path we are on, which is a soul journey.

This workshop invites self-reflection and deepening as you learn:

  • A variety of goddess archetypes and their relevance to your life’s path
  • Psychological insights woven with storytelling, myths, and music
  • How to use the archetypes for support and wisdom as you move forward.

Participants will have time in small circles with a sacred center for discussion. For many who attend it is likely that Artemis—the goddess of the hunt and moon, whose real and metaphoric terrain is the wilderness—will come up as a poignant figure. Come discover why the goddess myths have captivated and inspired us with their timeless wisdom. Emerge more deeply connected to their power in your life.
