Faculty Bio

Rina Jakubowicz

Rina Jakubowicz is a bilingual yoga teacher, Reiki practitioner, motivational speaker, author, and TV show host.

Known for her vibrant and uplifting approach to yoga, she has been a ‰”teacher of teachers” for more than 10 years, teaching internationally in countries such as Chile and Puerto Rico, and throughout the United States at top retreat centers, conferences and events, including the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, the Himalayan Institute, Wanderlust, the Omega Institute, the Santa Fe Yoga Festival, and Yoga Journal conferences.

Rina is one of Gaiam TV‰’s featured teachers, the yoga expert on Univision‰’s Tu Desayuno Alegre, and a regular contributor for MindBodyGreen, Elephant Journal, Yoga Journal Online, and My Yoga Online. She has appeared on the cover of Yoga Journal‰ and can be seen in magazines such as Mantra, Origin, Way, and Buena Vida.

Rina founded and owns two Rina Yoga studios in the Miami area and was selected as a Business Leader Magazine‰’s 2011 South Florida Business Leader Mover and Shaker. She is the creator of Snooze Yoga‰—a mobile yoga app offering short sequences with voice-guided instructions, images of poses, and video demonstrations‰—and Super Yogis‰’s Schoolhouse, a pioneering yoga curriculum for children and teens.
