The Stress Proof Brain

Tools for Mindfulness, Emotional Awareness, and Growth

1440 Multiversity 800 Bethany Drive Scotts Valley,CA 95066

Stress is everywhere—in the form of relationship breakups, job loss, life transitions, chronic stress at work or home, or major life events. Whether you are a parent juggling multiple responsibilities, an executive or entrepreneur navigating business challenges, or someone who has experienced trauma, stress is a common denominator for us all.

Slowing down and refocusing often sounds easier said than done. But if you can swing it, it is indeed possible to cultivate a more resilient, stress-proof brain. Join emotions researcher and Psychology Today blogger Melanie Greenberg, PhD, for a weekend workshop on the neuroscience of stress and emotions devised for the general public and health professionals alike.

Through didactic presentations, hands-on experience, and one-on-one sharing, you will learn to use tools from mindfulness, neuroscience, and positive psychology to master and redirect your brain’s stress response by harnessing the power of neuroplasticity.

Explore a fresh, practical approach to the science and art of brain rewiring.

You will learn:

  • Proven brain-based grounding and mindfulness strategies to handle major life events and chronic stressors
  • How to calm your brain’s automatic “fight, flight, freeze” response with mindfulness, emotional awareness, and self-compassion
  • How to reorient your focus from fear and avoidance to positivity, confidence, and engagement
  • How to use a growth mindset and grit to tolerate stress and overcome failure
  • Habits and lifestyle to stay healthy in the face of stress, and skills to rewire your brain, not just reduce your symptoms.
