Faculty Bio

Randy E. Kamen, EdD

Dr. Randy Kamen pioneered mind-body medicine at Boston University’s School of Medicine, and at The Stress Management Department of Harvard’s Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. In her 25 years in private practice, she has helped thousands of people suffering from loneliness, anxiety, depression, pain, low self-esteem, eating disorders, troubled marriages, aging, and parenting challenges.

Author of the best-seller Behind the Therapy Door: Simple Strategies to Transform Your Life, Dr. Kamen integrates the best of modern science and ancient traditions in her training sessions and workshops to helps clients access their inner wisdom and develop greater calm, clarity, self-compassion, connection, and life vision.

Dr. Kamen presents her research-based teachings at universities, women’s conferences, Fortune 500 companies, and health retreats in areas such as stress and pain management, resilience, relationships, gratitude, life transitions, and living one’s vision.

She writes for her blog, DrRandyKamen.com, and contributes regularly to the Huffington Post, WebMD.com, About.com, and many other websites. Dr. Kamen has her own weekly television show on MVTV: Strategies to Spark Your Week.

Dr. Kamen recently launched Blueberry Fields MV, a facility for retreats, workshops, and events on Martha’s Vineyard.
