NeuroKinetic Therapy® Professional Training

1440 Multiversity 800 Bethany Drive Scotts Valley,CA 95066

Expand your knowledge and repertoire as a bodyworker, physical therapist, chiropractor, or personal trainer. Become a somatic detective, using the messages of the body to help your clients heal.

NeuroKinetic Therapy® is a sophisticated assessment and treatment modality that addresses the causes of dysfunctional movement and coordination problems at their root—in the motor control center of the cerebellum.

The motor control center of the brain learns through failure. This can be helpful when learning to do something like walking as a baby, where each failed attempt gives you more information about how to do it right—but it can work against you when you have an injury and the body gets stuck in a dysfunctional movement pattern. NeuroKinetic Therapy’s protocol is specifically designed to help you reprogram the motor control center.

You will also be introduced to NeuroKinetic Yoga during this course. NKY teaches you how to apply yoga poses to your clients in order to increase their functional mobility and motor control. The NKY protocol assures that the movement homework you give helps develop the appropriate strength and flexibility.

In this training, you will learn:

  • The basics of motor control theory
  • The NeuroKinetic Therapy protocol
  • Manual muscle testing for each segment of the body
  • How to recognize compensation patterns, whether they are from reciprocal inhibition or a dysfunction in a kinetic chain
  • The NeuroKinetic Therapy and NeuroKinetic Yoga protocol
  • How to incorporate yoga poses and conscious movement into your treatments
  • How to confidently offer NeuroKinetic Therapy.

This practical, hands-on training with NeuroKinetic Therapy co-creator David Weinstock and NeuroKinetic Yoga program founder Jory Serota is for those who wish to understand the underlying causes of dysfunctional movement patterns and who desire to offer more effective treatments to their clients.
