Faculty Bio

Dawa Tarchin Phillips

Dawa Tarchin Phillips is the founder and CEO of Empowerment Holdings, LLC, a United States based international leadership consulting firm that trains business leaders and organizations in mindful leadership, awakened prosperity, and conscious business approaches.

He is cofounder of the Mindful Leadership Online Training Conference, the world’s largest online training conference for mindful leaders, and cofounder of the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) Center for Mindfulness and Human Potential.

An advanced dharma and meditation practitioner for more than 25 years, Dawa has completed two three-year meditation retreats. Dawa is a leading voice in the global mindfulness and awakening movement. His work has been featured in the New York Times, Huffington Post, Men’s Fitness, Forbes, and Fast Company. He is a contributing author for Mindful magazine, Tricycle magazine, and the Association for Talent Development.

Dawa is fluent in English, German, and French. He resides with his family in Santa Barbara, California.
