Loving Bravely

A Relationship Readiness Course
8.75 CE Credits available

1440 Multiversity 800 Bethany Drive Scotts Valley,CA 95066

Real love starts with you. How do you become a good partner to yourself first? The self is a dynamic and unfolding story, and your emotional wellness depends on your willingness to turn and look inward at how you “story” your life.

Join Alexandra H. Solomon, PhD, on a “journey within” to weave together the self and its underlying systems using the Integrative Systemic Therapy model. Learn to name and connect with aspects of self, and favor action over reaction in relationships. Through didactic activities, group discussion, journaling, and one-on-one sharing, you will explore:

  • Identify the dilemmas, challenges, and complexities facing intimate relationships today in a cultural context, allowing them to discern reactive/unconscious relationship choices from proactive/conscious choices
  • Understand how one’s love template is formed early in life and identify and utilize tools for effectively managing the inevitable and myriad ways that the past “shows up” in the present
  • Explore how our sexual narratives guide our sexual choices and describe the ingredients of self-aware sex
  • Learn how the tools of relational empowerment help us navigate the power dynamics and moments of conflict that are inherent in love.

You will be empowered with a more wholehearted self and a sense of curiosity and openness about the possibilities that lie within a romantic relationship. You will take home skills to help you navigate inevitable challenges and be ready, resilient, and confident in love.
