Heal, Balance, and Nourish

Create a Life of Health and Harmony with Ayurveda

1440 Multiversity 800 Bethany Drive Scotts Valley,CA 95066

Many consider Ayurveda, translated as “the wisdom of life and longevity,” to be the oldest healing science in the world. To harness the healing tools of Ayurveda, all you need is the knowledge to recognize them in the world around you and a willingness to put them to use.

Join Marisa Laursen, CAS, PKS, AYT, lead teaching faculty at the California College of Ayurveda, for a 5-day immersion into the timeless wisdom of this ancient science. Marisa infuses hands-on practice, group work, meditation, storytelling, and time in nature with deep knowledge and light-hearted humor.

In this lively and fun experience you will explore:

  • The foundational principles of Ayurveda, including the Hindu traditions behind the science
  • Your Ayurvedic constitution and the nature of your own unique imbalances
  • Ayurvedic lifestyle practices: creating healthy daily routines, abhyanga (self-massage), neti pot (nasal cleansing), eye wash, tongue scraping, and more
  • An introduction to Ayurvedic nutrition and a look at how this system affects both body and mind
  • An introduction to five sense therapies: healing with taste (foods, herbs, spices), sound (music, mantra, silence, sounds of nature), touch (massage, hugs), vision (colors, decor, flowers, clothing), and smell (aromatherapy).

Leave with your own Ayurvedic wellness kit and tools to keep you healthy for the rest of your life.
