Deepening Your Love is a soulful and practical experiential couples retreat. It is about opening the heart, renewing connection, and building trust, respect, and intimacy with your partner—all keys to a healthy relationship.

In a safe atmosphere of mindfulness, spirit, and self-exploration, you will successfully transform many of the issues with which all couples struggle: intimacy, communication, conflict, meeting each other’s needs, and making time for pleasure.

In this retreat with Kate Feldman, MSW, LCSW, and Joel Feldman, PCC, who have spent over 30 years helping people transform their relationships, you will learn:

  • How you and your partner can be an intimate team
  • Tools to develop compassion and curiosity toward one another
  • Skills to listen without reacting and interrupting
  • How to share so your partner will want to hear more
  • To turn frustrations into specific requests so your needs can be met
  • Easy and safe ways of loving each other through silence, meditation, and massage.

As you discover how your lifelong beliefs about relationships create your experience of your partner, you learn how changing them will grow you as a couple toward your dream partnership. You will leave with a win-win approach to conflict, more appreciation for each other, and a deepened commitment to creating happiness in your life together.

Faculty Bio

Kate and Joel Feldman, Kate: MSW, LCSW Joel: PCC

Kate Feldman, MSW, LCSW, and Joel Feldman, PCC, have been helping people transform their relationships for more than 30 years. With training in Imago, Gestalt, and Internal Family Systems therapies, as well as EMDR and equine-assisted psychotherapy (EAP), the Feldmans have developed a unique style of working with couples based on authenticity, experiential inner exploration, and relationship education. They combine yoga and mindfulness with traditional couples-therapy methods, using the ‰art of presence‰ as the foundation for healthy intimacy and satisfying relationships.

Cofounders and former codirectors of the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, Kate and Joel are the creators of The Conscious Relationships Institute, focused on creating healthy couples. Kate received her clinical training from the Smith College School for Social Work, and Joel is certified by Coach Training International as a relationship and life coach. Joel also holds certifications as a school and divorce mediator, and has extensive background as a team-building consultant.

Both Kate and Joel believe that the future of humanity depends on people consciously loving each other and their children, and they are dedicated to ending the cycle of generational wounding that is passed on through families, communities, nations, and our global family. After 30 years of marriage they still practice what they teach, and continue to find new ways to deepen their relationship.
