Faculty Bio

Janet Stone

Janet Stone is a San Francisco‰ based vinyasa yoga teacher. After 11 years in the film industry in Los Angeles, Janet traveled to India, the birthplace of her grandfather, where she dedicated herself to conscious evolution through yoga.

She blends the alchemy of her own practice with decades of studentship to create a unique vinyasa experience for her students. She and her writing have been featured in numerous print and online publications, including Yoga Journal, Origin, mantra, MindBodyGreen, and Elephant Journal.

She is creator of the app Yoga with Janet Stone. She has trained with a diversity of senior teachers, including Dharma Mittra, Shiva Rea, Scott Blossom, John Friend, Sianna Sherman, Ana Forrest, Ramanand Patel, and Jai Uttal. She offers trainings, retreats, workshops, and more in San Francisco and throughout the world.
