Zahra Noorbakhsh is a comedian and cohost of the award-winning podcast #GoodMuslimBadMuslim. The podcast has been featured in O, The Oprah Magazine and was invited to record an episode at the Obama White House.
Zahra was named one of the top 100 people shaping the future of culture by the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in their 2017 YBCA 100 list and has performed for renowned programs The Moth and Snap Judgment. Her personal essays have been featured on NPR’s Fresh Air and in the New York Times.
Zahra’s one-woman show, All Atheists Are Muslim: A Romantic Comedy, was originally directed by W. Kamau Bell and dubbed a highlight of the New York International Fringe Festival by the New Yorker. Her new show, On Behalf of All Muslims: A Comedy Special, is slated for world premier by Golden Thread Productions in June of 2019.
