Stein-Erik Skaar is an avid outdoorsman and sportsman. Whether trail running, mountain biking, triathlon training, surfing, skating, snowboarding, rock climbing, or boot camping, Stein has been able to reach his goals and help others reach theirs by training hard on strength and endurance.
Certified as a personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise and CrossFit®, Stein is also TRX®-qualified in suspension training, functional training, and rip training. He studied under Mark Twight’s tutelage at Gym Jones in Salt Lake City, Utah, and started his personal training career in 2001 at Class 5 Climbing and Fitness in San Rafael, California. He served as general manager of Berkeley Ironworks, one of the nation’s premier climbing and fitness facilities in Berkeley, California, and he refined his ability to instruct large groups at Five Points Fitness.
Stein now works out of Mt. Tam Racquet Club in Larkspur, California; NOW (New Om World); Pilates ProWorks® Larkspur; and the TRX training facility in San Francisco.
