Shasta Nelson is a leading expert on friendship and a featured speaker, writer, and facilitator across the United States and Canada. She is founder of, a tribe of women committed to creating more friendship worldwide, and teaches monthly friendship skill-building classes at The Friendship University.

Chosen by Facebook to be the spokesperson and friendship expert for Friends Day 2018, Shasta is a frequent contributor to the media and has been featured on Katie Couric’s show, Katie, and The Today Show, and in magazines and newspapers including the New York Times, San Francisco Chronicle, Good Housekeeping, Health, Cosmopolitan, and Forbes. Her TEDx talk, “Frientimacy: The 3 Requirements of All Healthy Friendships,” continues to inspire relationships everywhere.
