Author and scholar of comparative world religions
Sera Beak is a Harvard-trained scholar of comparative world religions and the author of three books, including The Red Book: A Deliciously Unorthodox Approach to Igniting Your Divine Spark and Red Hot and Holy: A Heretic’s Love Story.
Sera gives talks, private sessions, and retreats focused on the radical reality of the soul and its messy beautiful love affair with being human. She spent years traveling the world studying spirituality—from whirling with Sufi dervishes to meeting the Dalai Lama; from taking the host from a Croatian Catholic mystic to having life-altering visions with shamans.
Sera’s work has been published in numerous magazines, and the New York Times called her one of the new role models of her generation. She has been interviewed on several radio shows, including the Dr. Oz show on Oprah and Friends. She teaches at yoga studios, churches, and universities, as well as retreat centers throughout the United States, including Omega, Kripalu, and Esalen.
