Marisa considers herself a lifelong student of Ayurveda, yoga, and Vedanta, combining these sciences with a background in counseling to support physical, emotional, and spiritual healing in her clinical practice.
A Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist, Sivananda certified yoga teacher, Pancha Karma Specialist, Ayurvedic Yoga therapist, certified Yoga Nidra practitioner, and a certified aromatherapist, Marisa teaches a variety of programs and workshops at venues worldwide, including Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy with Dr. Marc Halpern. She is also lead teaching faculty at the California College of Ayurveda where she writes curricula and oversees students during clinical internship.
Marisa has published numerous professional articles and is the author of the soon-to-be-published children’s book The Adventures of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha: The Quest for the Sacred Nectar.
In addition to her teaching commitments and clinical practice, Marisa believes a significant part of her life mission is to make the wisdom of Ayurveda accessible to the public.
