Dr. Lauren Artress is a spiritual pioneer and a leading force in popularizing the labyrinth in the United States and around the world, helping hundreds of thousands of people experience this ancient spiritual practice.
She is the author of three books: Walking a Sacred Path: Rediscovering the Labyrinth as a Spiritual Practice, The Sand Labyrinth Kit, and The Sacred Path Companion: A Guide to Walking the Labyrinth to Heal and Transform.
Laurance S. Rockefeller recognized Lauren’s visionary work in 1987 and funded her creation of Quest: Grace Cathedral Center for Spiritual Wholeness, located in San Francisco, California. The spiritual programming that Lauren designed there allowed her to master large group work and eventually led her to the labyrinth.
Lauren is the founder of Veriditas, a nonprofit organization dedicated to introducing people to the healing, meditative powers of the labyrinth. Her work on the labyrinth has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, SFGate, and Huffington Post.
Lauren travels worldwide, sharing her knowledge on the labyrinth, as well as contemporary spiritual issues.
