John Paul Lederach, PhD
International peacebuilder and conflict mediation specialist
For nearly 30 years, John Paul Lederach has traveled to areas of the world where conflict is a way of life to provide conciliation training and direct mediation. He is recognized for his pioneering work on conflict transformation and has been involved in conciliation work in Colombia, the Philippines, Nepal, and Tajikistan, as well as countries in East and West Africa. John Paul has helped design and conduct training programs in 25 countries across five continents.
He is a senior fellow at Humanity United and professor emeritus of international peacebuilding at the University of Norte Dame. He is the author of many books including The Little Book of Conflict Transformation, Reconcile, and The Moral Imagination: The Art and Soul of Building Peace.
