Estelle Frankel is a practicing psychotherapist and spiritual advisor who blends depth psychology with the healing wisdom and spiritual practices of the Kabbalah. Ordained as a Rabbinic Pastor by Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi, Estelle has taught Jewish mysticism and meditation in Israel and throughout the United States for over 40 years.
Estelle is currently on the faculty of Lehrhaus Judaica and Chochmat HaLev Jewish Meditation Center in Berkeley, California. She teaches continuing education courses for therapists on Kabbalah as sacred psychology and has written numerous essays that have been published by academic journals and popular magazines.
Estelle is a popular public speaker who has been hosted by many institutions including: Starr King School of the Ministry, the Cape Cod Institute, University of Judaism (Los Angeles), Academy of Jewish Religion, Institute of Transpersonal Psychology, and the New York Open Center.
Estelle is author of two award-winning books on the interface of Kabbalah and psychology, Sacred Therapy: Jewish Spiritual Teachings on Emotional Healing and Inner Wholeness and The Wisdom of Not Knowing: Discovering a Life of Wonder by Embracing Uncertainty.
