Erin Olivo is the author of Wise Mind Living: Master Your Emotions, Transform Your Life, and is a licensed clinical psychologist with 22 years of experience treating patients and executive clients. She has been Assistant Clinical Professor of Medical Psychology at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons since 2004.
Formerly codirector of the Columbia Integrative Medicine Program, Dr. Olivo earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology from Duke University. She earned master’s degrees in public health and social work and a doctor of philosophy degree in clinical psychology, all from Columbia University.
Trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and clinical hypnosis, Dr. Olivo maintains a private clinical practice in New York City, where she works with adults and teenagers.
She also offers personalized coaching services to executives and organizations, working with individuals and teams to enhance effectiveness and productivity, improve communication skills, increase emotional intelligence, and promote work-life balance.
Dr. Olivo’s approach draws from traditions of mindfulness, positive psychology, cognitive behavior therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. She teaches clients how to identify and manage their emotions, reduce stress, and achieve a more balanced approach to life that she calls “wise mind living.”
