Diana Raab, MFA, PhD
Memoirist, poet, and speaker
Diana Raab is an award-winning memoirist, poet, speaker, educator, and survivor. She’s author of nine books and more than 1,000 articles and poems. Her latest book, Writing for Bliss: A Seven-Step Plan for Telling Your Story and Transforming Your Life, recently received a glowing review from Publishers Weekly.
Diana is the author of two memoirs, Regina’s Closet: Finding My Grandmother’s Secret Journal and Healing with Words: A Writer’s Cancer Journey. She’s a regular blogger for numerous websites including Psychology Today, Huffington Post, Thrive Global, Elephant Journal, and BoomerCafé. She’s also the editor of two anthologies, Writers and Their Notebooks and Writers on the Edge. Her latest poetry book is called Lust.
Diana has a master’s degree in nonfiction writing and a doctorate in psychology. Her doctoral research focused on the healing and transformative powers of memoir writing. She believes that writing can help us achieve wholeness and enhance the mind-body-spirit connection which inspires us to unleash our creativity and find the true voice of the inner self.
Diana conducts writing workshops and programs at various spiritual centers throughout the country, and has also presented at UCLA, UC Santa Barbara, and the Open Center.
