Desirée Rumbaugh is an internationally recognized yoga teacher with certifications and longtime studies in both Iyengar Yoga and Anusara Yoga. She delights in sharing what she has gleaned from her 30 years of study and practice, and brings her years of experience, experimentation, and creativity to her ever-evolving, out-of-the-box teaching style.
Blending playful humor with breathwork and meditation in an authentic inquiry into the nature of being, she leads balanced, comprehensive, transformational yoga experiences, accessible to all levels and all types of bodies. In order to refine her teaching even more, Desirée is currently studying Functional Manual Therapy (FMT), an integrated system that encourages optimum human performance by increasing total body mobility and function.
She is the founder of Wisdom Warriors, a training for teachers and dedicated yoga practitioners of all ages who wish to learn more about how to stay safe and strong in their asana practice beyond the age of 50. She is also the creator of the DVD series Yoga to the Rescue, is a regular contributor to Yoga Journal, and teaches workshops and retreats throughout the world.
