Cvita Mamic is an artist, healer, and cofounder of Nihue Rao Centro Espiritual, a plant medicine retreat center in the Peruvian Amazon. Fusing her lifelong passions of painting, plant wisdom, and shamanism, Cvita offers a unique and heartfelt approach to personal healing and transformation.
Following her departure from nursing school, Cvita Mamic began painting and exploring her passion for art and travel. After numerous art exhibits, she travelled to Cambodia where she cofounded the Cambodian Children’s Painting Project.
A few years later, on a quest to heal her inner and outer landscape, Cvita embarked on a six-year apprenticeship in Peru studying plant medicine and shamanism in the Shipibo lineage. In the jungle, her intuitive paintings began to reveal symbols and metaphors reflecting her inner journeys. Inspired by this experience, she created a healing “art maloka” to support others working through trauma, conflict, and personal growth using the creative process.
Cvita believes that any form of creativity or personal expression during a healing process promotes joy, self-awareness, confidence, and renewal.
