Running coach and master ChiRunning® instructor
Aracely Areas is a master ChiRunning instructor who has been teaching since 2004. She has been personally trained and mentored by Danny Dreyer, the founder of ChiRunning and ChiWalking® techniques.
After 15 years of experiencing the challenges, injuries, and physical pain of power running, Aracely enjoyed running five miles without pain for the first time when she met Danny in 1999 and had a one-on-one coaching session on the ChiRunning technique.
Based in San Jose, California, Aracely has assisted Danny and master instructors in workshops and running coach trainings nationally and internationally. She also teaches privately to individuals and groups.
Aracely is also a certified Pilates instructor, marathon coach, and a black belt in tae kwon do. She has been a coach and member of San Jose FIT, RUN365, and Nike Run Club.
She has completed 24 marathons pain-free, and is passionate about teaching and sharing her running experience with others. She is the founder of Carrera Internacional de la Mujer, an initiative to help women build confidence and motivation through running.
